Proudly Cape Townian

I am so proud of Cape Town. I can't speak on behalf of the whole of South Africa, but Cape Town has really done us proud this World Cup.

Never before have I seen my city looking so clean and festive and so full of police and security.

I don't work in town, but I do go into town often enough to see and experience what is going on during this festive season.

I am so impressed with the amount of workers on the streets, working hard to keep the area clean and I am very impressed with the number of policemen I see on every street, all over the city.

We have proved that we can do it and we have proved that we can do it well. Come on Cape Town, let's keep it up!
